Student Survival Kit

When our team leaders showed me the original Student Survival Kit (pictured below), I cringed. The design was painfully outdated, but youth ministers still bought this resource for new Christians on a regular basis because of the strong, helpful content it contained. This resource desperately needed a facelift and I had a blast giving it an entirely new, updated look.

“Survival” is often associated with the wild outdoors and nature, themes weaved throughout the book. I applied this same theme to the cover, gaining inspiration from minimalistic memo books such as Aaron Draplin’s Field Notes and Max Brooks’ Zombie Survival Guide

This resource helps students learn the basics of growing in Christ—establishing a quiet time, learning to pray, and learning to study the Bible and use it as a tool for growth—as they move beyond their critical decision to trust Jesus for eternal life.
